College Table Tennis is gearing up for the 2004 ACUI College Table Tennis Championships. This year’s ACUI College Championship, sponsored by Newgy and USATT, will be held in conjunction with the 2004 Stiga/Table Tennis Pioneers NCTTA Championships at the Multisport Complex at Citybeach in Fremont, California.   ACUI held 14 out of 15 Regional tournaments in February and now 64 of North America’s best College Table Tennis Athletes will be competing in a two-day event featuring Universities and Colleges from the United States and Canada!

The field features 46 Male participants with almost half of the participants rated over 2000, including former Olympic team member and number one player for Texas Wesleyan, Eric Owens, and former Junior Table Tennis phenom and current number one for Florida Atlantic University, Keith Alban. On the Women’s side we see 18 participants, including Biljana “Biba” Golic (featured in Killerspin’s recent Extreme Championships); local Palo Alto ponger and National team member, Michelle Do; and ACUI Table Tennis veteran Bogi Masters making her last visit at an ACUI National tournament.

The 2004 ACUI College Table Tennis Championships takes place on Friday April 9^th from 8am to 4pm at the expansive Citybeach Fremont facility and again on Saturday April 10^th from 1pm to 6pm. Winners will be recognized at an after tournament party banquet sponsored by Citybeach Fremont on Saturday night. Join us for a weekend of College Table Tennis Fun!
