A Timely Gift

The 50 or so Swaythling Club members who participated in the April 30^th “Friendship Rally” with the Japan Table Tennis Federation for the Disabled players were pleasantly surprised several days later to receive a friendly, Thank-you-for-playing present.

Opening a covering envelope, the Club member found a Citizen watch, already running to correct time, that was aptly named “My Creation.”

Aptly, for it featured on the face of each of the 50 or so watches a photo of the individuated Swaythling Club member in tandem with his specific disabled opponent.

Club members want to thank the Citizen watchmakers and Mr. Norihiko Oka of the JTTF for the Disabled and the other Japanese officials who were so thoughtful, for this was a unique commemorative gift of a unique moment in one’s long and thought-I’d-seen-everything life.
