U.S. Nationals & U.S. Team Trials
Dear
Table Tennis Enthusiasts:
On
behalf of USA Table Tennis, I am pleased to welcome you all – players,
families, supporters, sponsors, spectators, tournament staff, and USOC and ITTF
officials – to the 2001 U.S. Nationals.
This year’s record number 730 entries brings us close
to our current operational capacity of 750.
It is uplifting to see that participation in sports continues to be a
source of comfort and joy as our country deals with the events that have been
unfolding since September 11. Athletic
competitions present a unique bonding experience. As a means of extending our “connectedness” within the
international table tennis family, USATT is actively pursuing the designation of
host for the 2002 ITTF Grand Pro Tour Finals to be held next December.
The
USATT Board and staff members appreciate your input and feedback as our
association continues to evolve and improve its relationships with our parent
bodies, the ITTF and USOC. Please
take time to share your thoughts with us.
