On behalf of the city Commission and citizens of Fort Lauderdale, I cordially welcome the over 1,000 athletes gathered for the 2002 U.S. Open/ITTF Pro Tour Table Tennis Championships.

We are honored that Fort Lauderdale was selected as the site for your retreat and hope that during your visit you will take advantage of the many wonderful sites and attractions our City has to offer.

We invite you to take a cruise aboard a water taxi to experience the beauty and charm of the City's Intracoastal Waterway and New River, while gaining a firsthand look at magnificent multimillion dollar homes, internationally renowned hotels, fine waterfront restaurants, and nightspots, among other scenic treasures.
