USA Players in the ITTF Pro Tour Preliminaries

Men

Two USA men were advanced into the main draw, and didn't have to play in the preliminaries - David Zhuang and Eric Owens. The rest had to qualify by winning their preliminary group, usually of three players. USA players advancing into the main draw of 64 players to join Zhuang and Owens were the following:

Three other USA players had good showings, but did not advance. They were:

Other USA men in the preliminaries but not winning any matches were Adam Hugh, Brian Pace, Jared Lynch and Alexis Perez. U.S. #1 ranked player Fan Yi Yong did not play for unknown reasons.

Women

Two USA women were advanced into the main draw, and didn't have to play in the preliminaries - Tawny Banh and Jasna Reed. The rest had to qualify by winning their preliminary group, usually of three players. USA players advancing into the main draw of 64 players to join Banh and Reed were the following:

Other USA women in the preliminaries but not winning any matches were Mimi Bosika, Sophia Dan Dan Yi, Katherine Wu, Whitney Ping, Laura Leach, Jane Chui and Elaine Kwok. U.S. #1 ranked player Chang Jun Gao did not play for unknown reasons.
