About 200 played in this tournament held on Nov 7 an 8. Top stars included: Fan Yi-Yong, Cheng Yinghua, Jimmy Butler, Gao Jun, and Barney Reed Jr. There were many Canadian players from British Columbia. The Canadian National Coach, Mariann Domonkos, also brought along most of her national and junior national players, including Carl Xuan, Horatio Pintea, Wen Xiao Wang and Anne-Marie Roussy. Jim Scott and his associates at Portland TTC deserve praise for a well-organized and well-run 4-star tournament. Here are some scenes from the tournament.
