About Table Tennis
Health Benefits

Have you had those days where you feel extra slow and tired and you wished you could find an excuse to just get up and go.  Here's the quick fix: Table Tennis.  The sport which is considered the quickest in the world can help you get in shape, sharpen your reflexes all while making you work up a sweat and have fun doing it.

Playing a friendly game of table tennis for an hour burns about 300 calories.  That's equal to a 27-minute power walk on a treadmill or 32 minutes of light gymnastics.  Now, which activity sounds like more fun, walking in one direction for half an hour, execute dizzying cartwheels or beating your friend in a table tennis match thus giving you bragging rights?

Table Tennis is a great way to get a cardiovascular and aerobic exercise because of the range of movements and the consistency and rapidity of the movements.  The fast play ensures a good sweat and will keep your heart rate up.

League Action Items A complete manual of rules and policies for the USATT Teams League Inaugural Season is in the works, addressing eligibility, ratings process, skill divisions, Regional Coordinators, refunds, scheduling and prizes, as well as the process for dispute resolution.  There is, however, one item that needs to be mentioned immediately, and that is match scheduling and the 16 week season.
