Alaska isn’t always cold. During the summer, the average temperate is a comfortable 59 degrees. But, during the winter, the average temperature is -9 degrees. How in the world will they keep warm this winter? OF COURSE! THE USATT TEAM LEAGUE! Andy Hutzel is the newly appointed regional coordinator responsible for gathering players in Alaska offering warmth this winter with the introduction of the Team League.
Andy is no novice when it comes to the sport. While serving in the Air Force stationed at the Bitburg Air Force base in Germany from in 1975 and 1976, he played for the Bitburg team in the German Leagues. Although they were in the lowest possible division of the leagues, he was still excited to play and participate because he loved how team competition fostered camaraderie among all players. Andy still participates in team competitions. Andy always makes a cross country journey from Alaska to Baltimore, in November, to participate in the North American Teams Championships, with his Alaskan Assassin teammates. With Andy’s help, Alaska is ready to heat up gyms and clubs during the winter to make the USATT Team League the hot activity to participate in. |
