USA TABLE TENNIS MAGAZINE

MEDIA KIT 2011

For Advertising Rates, please e-mail MAGAZINE @ USATT . ORG

At the grassroots level, table tennis is one of the most popular participation sports in the U.S. Internationally, the sport is second only to Soccer in popularity with strong followings in Asia, Europe, Africa, South America, and the Carribean. The popularity of table tennis in the U.S. is on the rise. At the highest levels, the U.S. qualified 4 players for the last Olympics, the U.S. Women's team finished 5th in the Olympic Team event, and we had a quaterfinalist in the Women's Singles event. Internationally, the U.S. Teams have had consistently strong performances in the PanAm Games and we have a series of world-class junior girls who are already having an effect at National and International events while under 15 years old. The sport has never looked stronger in the U.S.

Since 1970, USA TABLE TENNIS MAGAZINE has been dedicated to providing our readers with all of the tools and information necessary to follow or participate in this life-long sport. USA TABLE TENNIS MAGAZINE is the official magazine of the Olympic sport of Table Tennis in the U.S. The content of the magazine includes official rankings and ratings, official announcements regarding rule changes and interpretations, schedules for sanctioned tournaments, articles about players of all ages, coverage of top players and major tournaments, and any other news or events that is interesting to players and fans.

The readers of USA TABLE TENNIS MAGAZINE are as diverse as the sport we play. Nearly half of our readers are non-traditional Americans and Immigrants with many being of Asian or European decent. Ours is a family sport with many juniors starting at 7 or 8 years old and an active Senior tournament circuit that includes hudreds of players over 40 year old. Our sport serves different needs for different enthusiasts: a sport played for recreation, a sport played for fitness, a sport played at elite international events including the Olympics, and a sport accessible to the disabled and featured at international Paralympic Games. The goal of the magazine is to provide diverse content to meet the needs of a very diverse group of readers.

The USA TABLE TENNIS MAGAZINE Staff includes two permanent co-Editors and the full support of the USA Table Tennis staff and the USOC (US Olympic Committee) in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Regular columnists include some of the legends and most recognized names in the sport -- and with freelance writers bringing stories from all over the US and abroad, the magazine offers a wide-variety of interesting articles and stories.

USA TABLE TENNIS MAGAZINE does not sit on a shelf and is not a publication that is flipped through and tossed. The coaching articles and ranking/rating lists make our magazine a reference tool that is used in clubs and tournaments and college campuses across the US for many months. Our reasearch has shown that just over 7 readers view the average magazine. Even the most conservative estimates for our type of publication (of 3.2 readers per Issue) show our readership to be greater than 27,000 per Issue -- and with the importance of clubs and tournaments to this readership, the number could be in excess of 50,000 readers per Issue.

USA TABLE TENNIS MAGAZINE is the only table tennis magazine in the U.S. and the only official publication of the USATT, the governing body of the Olympic sport in the U.S. Ours is the only publication that can reach this energized audience.

If you have not reserved ad space for the next Issue of USA TABLE TENNIS MAGAZINE, now is the time. We would love to add you as an advertiser and supporter of our growing sport.
