During a USA Table Tennis Board of Directors teleconference held on June 17, 2002, the following list of candidates were approved to be placed on the ballot for the 2002 Board of Directors election.

Others interested in having his/her named placed on the ballot may submit a petition to Wendell Dillon, Chair of the Nominating/Election Committee, no later than July 31, 2002.  The petition must consist of a minimum of 150 adult members (180 signatures are suggested).  All signatures must be placed on a petition form and must include the person's USATT membership number in order to be considered.  A copy of the petition form in Excel format is located at www.usatt.org/news/Petition_Form.xls. 

The timetable for the 2002 election is shown below:

July 31              Deadline for submission of petitions to be placed on the ballot

August 15          Completion of petition(s) review

September 2      Deadline for submission of campaign statements

September 2      Membership deadline date for voters

September 20    Ballots mailed to all adult U.S. members as of September 2 and those

                        out-of-country members who have requested ballots

October 14        Deadline for receipt of completed ballots

October 14-15    Ballots counted

November 1        New Board members take office
