2004 USA Olympic Team Candidates Required to Join USDA's Testing Pool

The United States Olympic Committee (USOC), in accordance with the USOC's National Anti-Doping Policies, requires all athletes who are candidates for membership to the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens to be included in the United States Anti-Doping Agency's (USADA) Out-of-Competition (OOC) Testing Pool twelve (12) months prior to the 2004 Olympic Games. This means that any athlete who makes the USA Olympic Team, but was not a part of the OOC Testing Pool, will not be able participate in the 2004 Olympic Games.

All athletes who will be trying out for the 2004 USA Olympic Team need to send an email or fax to USATT by May 20, 2003, letting USATT know they will be trying out. Email Tommy Perkins or fax to 719-632-6071. Athletes will then be part of the OOC Testing Pool starting in August, and will be asked by USADA to fill out quarterly "location forms," and will be subject to drug testing.
