Butterfly to Sponsor International Paralympic Event

Colorado Springs, CO, Aug. 18, 2003 - USA Table Tennis announced today that  Butterfly has become the Official Equipment sponsor of the 2003 U.S. Paralympics Table Tennis Championships presented by The Hartford. Butterfly will supply 20 Centrefold Rollaway tables for use during the competition. The Centrefold Rollaway table is approved by the  International Table Tennis Federation and meets  the regulations of the International Paralympic Table Tennis Committee for use in wheelchair competition.

The U.S. Paralympics Table Tennis Championships is sanctioned by IPTTC as a  30-point event, and is the first event of that level to be held in the  United States. Competition will be held Sept. 12-14, 2003 at the U.S.  Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.  More information is available at www.ipttc.org.

USA Table Tennis announces field for upcoming event.

The U.S. Paralympics Table Tennis Championships presented by The Hartford will be held in Colorado Springs in September. Athletes will compete in singles and team events. Competition begins Friday Sept. 12 and continues through Sunday Sept. 14, at SportsCenter II at the U.S. Olympic Training Center.

The field includes over 100 athletes from 20 different countries. Athletes will represent Australia, Canada, Costa Rica, Germany, France, Great Britain, Hong Kong, Croatia, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Liechtenstein, Mexico, The Netherlands, Sweden, Tajikistan and the United States.
