ITTF Journalist Scholarships to 2005 Worlds in China

The ITTF offers on a yearly basis 2-3 scholarships for young journalists (under 35 years of age) to attend the World Table Tennis Championships.

Objective: To give the possibility to young journalists to increase their knowledge of table tennis and the International Table Tennis Federation.

Hospitality: The ITTF offers free board and lodging.

Programme: Covering the event for the media in their country and an opportunity to meet ITTF officials, staff and key table tennis personalities.
 
Eligibility: Journalists working for newspapers, magazines, sports magazines, radio and television broadcasters. (Persons working for sports associations and their magazines will not be eligible)

Candidates should not be over 35 years of age and should have three to four years experience. Good knowledge of English is required.

Women candidates are encouraged to apply, as at least one of the scholarships for each event will be reserved for a female journalist.

The ITTF reserves the right to choose freely from the applications. The final selection will be made by the Chairman of the ITTF Media Committee.

In the selection, priority will be given to journalists coming from other continents than the continent where the event takes place. 

The deadline for application is 31 January 2005, for the WTTC in Shanghai on 29 April - May 6, 2005
