2004 USADA Olympic Compliance

TOP USA PLAYERS - PLEASE READ!!!

Dear Athletes, 

If your name is listed below you have been entered into USATT's Olympic Pool with the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) as of August 13, 2003. This means that you are a candidate to participate in the 2004 Olympics as a US National Team Member depending on your performance at the US Trials.  Only players ranked in the top 15 for men and top 10 for women as of August 13, 2003, need to be on this list if they wish to try out for the 2004 USA Olympic Team. Those not in the top 15 or top 10 may still try out for US Team, but do not need to be on the list at this time. 

As a candidate in the "Olympic Pool" for the 2004 Olympics you must maintain compliance with the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) and submit quarterly compliance reports consisting of an "Athlete Location Form" and "Athlete Change of Plan Form."  The forms are in the 2003 4th Quarter Compliance Report. If you are on the "Non-Compliant Athlete" list below you have not submitted these forms to USADA by the September 1, 2003 deadline and you are subject to a missed drug test.  

If you miss three drug tests you are subject to suspension by USADA.  The suspension would make the athlete who failed to comply ineligible to participate in Olympic, Pan American or Paralympic Games, trials or qualifying events for a period of two years.  Also the athlete who failed to comply would be ineligible to be a member of an Olympic, Pan American or Paralympic Games team for a period of two years.  Furthermore, the athlete who failed to comply would not have access to the training facilities of an Olympic Training Center or other programs and activities of the USOC including, but not limited to, grants, awards, or employment for a period of two years.
