TABLE TENNIS:  US Olympic Team “Olympic Media Day” Advisory

Colorado Springs, Colo. – USA Table Tennis has designated August 9, 2004, as “Olympic Media Day” inviting all accredited press to come see the US Olympic Table Tennis team practice in Athens during their final training camp for the 2004 Olympic Games.

USA Table Tennis encourages media outlets to come meet the 2004 Olympic Table Tennis Team and see the sport up close and personal:

The US Olympic Team is composed of:  Gao Jun (Gaithersburg, Md.), Jasna Reed (Clinton Township, Mich.), Tawny Banh (San Gabriel, Calif.), Whitney Ping (Beaverton, Ore.), Ilija Lupulesku (Chicago, Ill.), Khoa Nguyen (San Jose, Calif.), Mark Hazinski (Mishawaka, Ind.), along with coaches Teodor Gheorghe (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Dan Seemiller (New Carlisle, Ind.). Accredited media will be welcome to interview coaches and athletes, take photos, film practice, record sound bites, etc.  Advanced requests will be taken prior to August 9th.  Walk-ins will be welcome and requests can be made at the training site in Athens.
