2003 Cadet and Junior National Team Trials

Beginning with 2003, the decision has been made to select annual Cadet and Junior National Teams based on trials.  These teams will represent the USA in international competitions for the year of 2003.

The trials for 2003 will be held at the 2002 USA Table Tennis National Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada, December 18-21, 2002.  If a player is interested in representing the USA in 2003 on a Cadet or Junior National, he/she MUST participate in these trials.  No other criteria will be used to place a player on the 2003 Cadet or Junior National Team.

To be eligible to participate in the 2003 Cadet National Team Trials, a player must be born on or after January 1, 1988.  In addition, the player must be a permanent resident or a citizen of the United States.

To be eligible to participate in the 2003 Junior  National Team Trials, a player must be born on or after January 1, 1985.  In addition, the player must be a permanent resident or a citizen of the United States.

The top finishers in each event will be placed in rank order from positions one to eight.  The finishing order in the trials will be used to invite players to represent USA Table Tennis in international competitions for the year of 2003.  The number of players selected to participate in each event will vary.

For additional information on scheduling, format, and other details regarding the trials, please review the 2003 USA Table Tennis Nationals entry form which has been mailed to each member of USATT.  The entry form is also available on-line at www.usatt.org.
