1) The USA Table Tennis Nominating Committee recommended the following candidates be placed on the ballot for the 2001 election:

    President: Sean O'Neill; Sheri Soderberg Pittman (Incumbent)

    Vice President:  Dr. Azmy Ibrahim; Rong Li Lillieroos; David Marcus; Dr. Jiing Wang

    (Incumbent)

    Secretary: Morris Jackson; Timothy Titrud

2) Dr. Morris Jackson withdrew for personal reasons before the Board took action.

3) The Board approved the candidates submitted by the Nominating Committee. In addition the Board added:

    Vice President: Robert Mayer; Bob Tretheway

    Secretary: Tim Boggan

4) Lily Yip has submitted the required number of signatures and will be added to the ballot by petition as a candidate for Vice President.

5) The deadline for submitting petitions for candidates is August 5, 2001. I am not aware of anyone else who is using this method to be placed on the election ballot.

6) The September/October 2001 issue of USA Table Tennis Magazine will contain campaign advertisements from any interested parties. The magazine is scheduled to be distributed on August 27, 2001.

7) Ballots will be mailed from Colorado Springs, Colorado, on September 21, 2001. Completed ballots must be received at USA Table Tennis headquarters no later than October 15, 2001. Ballots received by this date will be counted on October 15-17, 2001.

8) The newly-elected members of the Board of Directors will take office November 1, 2001.
