Colorado Springs, CO, Nov. 4 – San Diego’s Clark
Mitchell was hired on Friday, Nov. 1, as the new Executive Director for USA
Table Tennis. He will be arriving in Colorado Springs today, and starting work
on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
Mitchell has a long history in table tennis. Although not
an active tournament player (except in doubles), he has been an active player since 1976. Soon after
he began playing, he became a board member for the San Diego Table Tennis
Association, and he is currently their Executive Director. He is certified by
USATT as a coach. He is also the marketing and programs director for the USATT
Olympic Training Center Committee, which is looking to opening a table tennis
program at the Olympic Training Center in San Diego. (See http://ttsd.org/otc.html.)

Mitchell has a wide range of non-table tennis experience that should help in his work for USATT. He has experience in marketing, project management and public relations. His background includes:
