usatt.org Gets a Redesign for 2004!

It's hard to believe that it's been almost eight years since usatt.org was created back in 1996 by Roy SeGuine and Sean O'Neill. The old look of usatt.org has undergone a complete redesign and we hope that you like the new face we've put on usatt.org. We believe you will be able find everything a little easier as there are multiple ways to get to all the information. Many hours have gone into the redesign process (information architecture, wireframe and prototype) - from taking a thorough inventory and reorganizing what was at the old site to upgrading the interface. The redesign team consisted of :

• Teodor "Doru" Gheorghe - overall vision and inspiration

• Roy SeGuine - interface design, information architecture, wireframe and prototype

• Larry Hodges - content provider, information architecture proofing, forum creator

• Fong Hsu - coding for the basic ratings search on the homepage

Some of the major improvements that were made during the redesign are:

• usatt.org has joined the US Olympic Internet Network

• the creation of a new navigation bar that is better organized/labeled

• the new navigation bar uses fast loading dynamic drop down menus

• the new navigation bar also contains both a site map and a site search

• a random picture display of a top level table tennis player in action

• the creation of a USATT officers reports area

• a scrolling marquee section that can display multiple major events

• the return of a top level basic ratings search area

• a new moderated USATT Forum for table tennis discussion

• new pages, including the College Page, New to Table Tennis, Elite Athletes (National Team), About USATT, and the USATT Strategic Plan.
