The National Collegiate Table Tennis Championships will be held this weekend (Fri-Sun) at Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Texas. Included will be the ACUI Singles and Doubles Championships, and the NCTTA Team Championships. 25 colleges sent men's teams, and five sent women's teams.
The hometown TWU team is top seed, led by Eric Owens (rated 2616), Dinko Kranjac (2392) and Courtney Roberts (2355). They will be challenged by teams such as the University of Southern Mississippi (led by Kim Bong-Geun, 2422 and Chandramoulli Shankaren, 2250) and Univ. of Maryland (led by Han Xiao, 2561, James Duan, 2262 and Michael Shao, 2223). Team format is 4-person teams; full rosters for all teams are online at the 2005 Collegiate Championships web page, where you can follow all the action and results.
