48^th World Table Tennis Championships

Call for USATT Members interested in attending the 2005 World Championships

USA Table Tennis is finalizing its entry forms for the 48^th World Table Tennis Championships that will be submitted to the Chinese Organizing Committee as the USA’s “Official Delegation.”  Any USATT member who otherwise would not qualify, but wants to be a part of the "Official USA Delegation," should contact Tommy Perkins at programs@usatt.org or 719-866-4583 ext. 6.

USATT members should know that each member who participates as part of the “Official USA Delegation” will: 

• Pay their own hospitality expenses to USATT (USATT does not fund members)

• Book their own flights

• Attain your own Visa to travel to China

• Pay USATT a $25 processing fee for making the reservations

USATT must mail a copy of each person’s passport and two passport sized photos to the Chinese Organizing Committee for accreditation.  If you wish to attend USATT must receive the following by February 5, 2005: 

• 1 clear photo copy of each persons passport

• 2 passport sized photos (4cm x 3cm) of each person – Headshots only

• Inform USATT of your arrival/departure dates in Shanghai

The Chinese Organizing Committee demands that each association pay for the entire “Official Delegation” in one bank transfer.  Therefore, USATT must collect hospitality costs from each person who is included in the “Official USA Delegation” before we send the payment to the Chinese Organizing Committee.  So each USATT member wanting to participate must make the proper payment to USATT by credit card by February 15^th.

The hospitality package costs are: 

• $150 US Dollars per person/per day for a single room

• $110 US Dollars per person/per day for a double room

 The hospitality package includes: 

• Hotel Room

• Event Accreditation

• Transportation (to and from airport/hotel and venue/hotel)

• Meals

You may arrive one to two days before the event starts and one to two days after the event ends using this hospitality package.  USATT is not responsible for finding roommates.  If you cannot find a roommate by the time you make your payment to USATT, you will be charged on your credit card by USATT for a single room ($150 per day).  These deadlines are not negotiable and USATT will not include you as part of the “Official USA Delegation” if a deadline is not met.  No Exceptions!
