2006 U.S. Paralympics TT Championships
Dear Table Tennis Players,
Family and Friends,
The Organizing Committee
supported by the USA Table Tennis Disabled Athletes Committee, the American
Wheelchair Table Tennis Association, and the , U.S. Paralympics, A division of
USOC, will be hosting the 2006 U.S. Paralympics Table Tennis Championships,
which will be during the Close in Las Vegas from December 13 – 17. Our tournament is sanctioned by the International
Paralympics Table Tennis Committee (IPTTC) and all athletes who win events or
matches will receive points towards the world ranking. .
We are very pleased that over
117 athletes and coaches from over 17 countries, including the USA, will be coming
to Las Vegas to participate in our tournament. The countries that will be coming are: Australia, Austria, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Ghana, Great Britain,
Greece, Korea, Lichtenstein, Mexico, Niger, Russia, Sweden, Tajikistan, USA,
Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Ukraine.
We all know that the key
to any successful event are our volunteers. The Paralympics have even a
greater need for volunteers as we are required to provide persons at each table
to assist those participants, who are unable to retrieve their own balls during
practice and matches.
We are asking our
partners: your family members and
friends who will be coming with you to please check your schedules and let us
know if you will have a few hours to spare to assist us in volunteering. For scheduling purposes, we asking anyone
who is interested in helping us to complete the form below with times and dates
that you will be available.
We realize this is asking a lot, but having enough volunteers is
very important to the success of our event. We look forward to hearing from you soon and thank you in advance for
any assistance you can give.
