Schedule and format
        Qualifications- January 10, 2008- format TBD according to the number of entries
        Trials- January 11-13, 2008- Round robin of 12 players.
    

The 2008 North American Olympic Trials –

Dates and location- April 4-6, 2008, Vancouver Canada
 
Playing format:
Four athletes/gender, based on the finishing order at the 2008 US Trials, will participate at the 2008 NA Trials.
First day: Single elimination of 8 with the winner being the first qualifier.
Second day: Single elimination of 7 with the winner being second qualifier. The finalist from first day has a BYE in the first round. We follow the ranking used on the first day for seeding purpose.
Third day: two RR groups of 3 with the winners of the groups playing the final. The winner of the final is the 3rd qualifier and the loser is the 4th finisher. Second place in groups play for 5-6 place, and 3rd place in the groups play for 7-8 place to determine the 3rd player/country if needed.

Seeding: will be based on the world ranking first, followed by Canadian/US ranking.

Draw- For single elimination the draw for each day will be done on site, drawing two players at the time with the 7th and 8th players(according to the ranking) drawn to 1st and 2nd seeded players.
