2010 National Team Selection Procedure

The 2010 National Men’s and Women’s Team will be selected as follows:

1- ITTF World Ranking-
USA athletes ranked among the top 30 in the November 2009 Men’s and Women’s ITTF World Ranking will qualify as members of the 2010 National Team and will be offered a spot on the team roster.  

2- Trials- Organized in two stages:

Stage One:
Qualification Event: US Nationals, December 16-19, 2009, Las Vegas, NV.
Athletes reaching the round of 16 at the US Nationals in Men’s and Women’s Singles and eligible to represent USA at the World T.T. Championships under ITTF eligibility rule 4.01.03.02, will qualify for the 2010 National Team Trials.

Stage Two:
2010 National Team Trials- will be held not later than March 31,
2010 at a location and date TBD. The date, location and playing format will be announced in due time.
The qualified athletes for stage two will have to fill out and submit their entry by the deadline set in the entry form in order to be considered for this stage. 

3- Coaches’ pick-
One roster spot on each team will be reserved for a player selected by a panel consisting of USATT National Coaches, and approved by the High Performance Advisory Committee. The coaches will make their selection within one week after the Trials are complete.
