2011 ITTF World Hope Team - Call for Nominations

Dear friends and supporters of the ITTF Hopes Programme,

The ITTF Education and Development Departments are proud to announce that the search for young talents to join the 2011 ITTF World Hopes Team now is open.

One new feature for the upcoming year is the ITTF World Hopes Week scheduled for the second half of June 2011. The main idea is to provide all interested national associations with the option to enter players into a weeklong extravaganza that in addition to a world level training camp also will include an ITTF Hopes Challenge competition and several educational opportunities for accompanying coaches. The initiative itself will solidify the movement towards building a joint venture with national associations specifically targeting activities for the age group involved and on top of that secure a technical evaluation of the aspiring young players completed by a group of experienced coaches.

We consider the ITTF Hopes Programme to be an innovative project, actively contributing to the growth of Table Tennis and also introducing the ITTF as an active, reliable partner in development and education. For us it is not the end result and final selection that matters the most, but rather the promotional opportunities and the confidence carried by all the young hopes and their coaches ready to embark on the journey itself.
