Board Motion: Complaint to be Drafted Against Six US National Quarter Finalists


Below you will find a motion passed by the USATT Board of Directors at their January 7, 2010, teleconference meeting. As previously indicated, the intent in this motion is to follow due process procedures as outlined in the USATT Bylaws. On behalf of the Board, we will issue updates on this matter as the process unfolds.

Board Motion: The Board of Directors believes the action of boycotting the Men’s Quarter Finals of the 2009 U.S. Nationals by the following 6 athletes: Yi Yong Fan, Mark Hazinski, Ilija Lupulesku, Raghu Nadmichettu, Han Xiao and David Zhuang, was unsportsmanlike and unbecoming a member of USA Table Tennis.  Therefore, we request General Counsel draft a complaint for the Ethics and Grievance Committee to determine if any disciplinary action should be taken.
