Below you will find information related to the ITTF’s  launch of the International Training Centers program.  You will note that USATT recently launched a program entitled National Centers of Excellence and Regional Centers of Excellence.  We wanted to allow the USATT program to have a little lead time in advance of the ITTF’s program for your consideration.  The application period for the USATT NCOE and RCOE  is rolling  - meaning applications can be accepted and reviewed by the Review Panel as they are received.  The application period for the ITTF program is set for November 15th so the timeline is tight. ITTF Hot Spot Training Centres – Call for Applications

The ITTF is looking to initiate a formal identification process targeting established training centres all over the world. We are ready to welcome applications from national associations as well privately operated centres, clubs, regions (as long as they themselves have in writing the full approval from their respective national association).  The official launch date for the first set of ITTF Training Centres is January 15, 2011. The selected centres will receive the official designation "ITTF International Training Centre".

The new network called ITTF Hot Spots,  will serve as the backbone for future  educational as well as athletes development initiatives launched by the ITTF Education and Training Department. Although the centres will continue to operate independently under the auspices of respective national associations, our target is to increase the activity level by launching several new  projects supporting global development of Table Tennis.

Successful applicants will immediately reap the benefits of:

·          ITTF Recognition – Use of official logos, designation and website presence

·          Enrollment in ITTF educational initiatives – G lobal Reach projects such as the ITTF Hopes , ITTF Management and ITTF Admin courses and coaching education.

·          Serve as the national launch pad for ITTF Talent ID initiatives

·          Prime target for future events and ITTF operated training camps

·          Invitations to regularly organized ITTF Education & Training conferences

·          The opportunity to receive young promising athletes funded by the ITTF With the Future in Mind project

·          Play and active part in the new ITTF Athletes Development Model – ITTF ADM to be launched parallel with the ITTF Hot Spot Training Centre Network

·          Possibility to qualify for the ITTF Academy level  - Future upgrade – launch-date TBA

Please find all the relevant information attached to this email.   At this stage we are basically  looking to build a strong global  network of  high quality and operative training centres ready to share our ambition to develop the sport of Table Tennis.

Related time-lines:

·          Applications Open: 15 October – 15 November 2010

·          Initial Approval Process: 15 November  –1 January 2011

·          Official First Phase launch: 15 January 2011

·          Official G uidelines for Operations/ Planning  related to 2011 ITTF educational activities: 15 January

·          ITTF ED – Conference / athletes management education: March 2011.

·          Review of pending applications for a second phase possible selection - date TBA
