Now Accepting Applications for National Team Coach Positions

POSITION TITLE:  National Team Coaches for Cadet Girls, Cadet Boys, and Junior Boys

As part of a routine periodic review, USATT is accepting applications for the above positions. Receipt deadline is 5:00pm EDT, Thursday, May 20. Current respective National Team Coaches in these positions have NOT been dismissed. This process is NOT to be construed as a negative review of their performance. The Selection Committee merely seeks to see if there is interest from other coaches for these positions.

SUMMARY: 
Part time position for providing coaching services to National Team members during training camps and competitions based on the national team program budget.
The applicants should be US residents or have a working visa for US.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Prepare the National Team’s training program based on the USATT approved budget.
• Coordinate the individual training of the National Team’s members.
• Provide coaching during the training camps and International Competitions and ensure that Code of Conduct expectations and guidelines are followed.
• Coordinate the logistics of the trips with USATT HQ.
• Be available to coach the national teams at all international competitions and training camps, pending USOC/USATT selection procedure/approval and successfully pass a background check.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Coaching certification/degree recognized by USATT.
• Proven track record in the development of athletes, strength in strategic and tactical coaching at the international level, elite training techniques, organizational expertise, and leadership skills.
• In addition, candidates are expected to have a thorough understanding of basic sport psychology, exercise physiology, nutrition, sports first aid, and biomechanics.
• Knowledge and acceptance of USATT’s, and USOC’s organizational roles and abilities.
• Knowledge of ITTF rules and regulations.
