Motion: Moved to approve the following Rules & Officials Committee's proposal to be submitted to the ITTF AGM.

"DIRECTIVES FOR MATCH OFFICIALS AT WORLD TITLE COMPETITIONS AND ITTF SANCTIONED EVENTS
Nomination, Acceptance and Declination of Match Officials
All Referee and Umpire nominations must also be accepted – or declined – by the Parent association of the nominee."
ADD:
Age will not be a consideration in the selections of Referees and Umpires.
RATIONALE:
The ITTF URC has developed a standard of officiating for umpires resulting in the best umpires earning a Blue Badge designation. To specify age limits for certain events is arbitrary and discourages those umpires who have demonstrated the highest standards of officiating. In many associations, because of work, umpires are not available to travel until they have passed the present arbitrary age limit used for some events.

Closing date for voting: Tuesday, February 20, 2007, Noon MST or as soon as everyone has registered their vote.
