Moved, pursuant to section VII(F) of the 2005-2008 High Performance Plan, to approve the distribution of funds from USATT reserves to the following athletes and coaches:

Bonus for outstanding Performance

Wang Chen
$3,000- quarterfinalist at the 2007 World Championships- women’s singles
$1,000- top 16 at the 2007 World Championships- women’s doubles

Gao Jun
$1,000- top 16 at the 2007 World Championships- women’s doubles.

Doru Gheorghe- women’s team coach
$1,250.

Explanation: The bonus for reaching top 16 at the World Championships is $2,000 and “the bonus can be applied to the team and double events, but the money will be split between the teammates or partners” AND “coaches will receive a bonus equal to 25% of any player bonuses”.

TOTAL - $6,250

Bonus for improving World Ranking

Wang Chen

$2,000- reaching top 50 in the ITTF World Ranking
$3,000- reaching top 40 in the ITTF World Ranking
$4,000- reaching top 30 in the ITTF World Ranking

Explanation: Wang Chen was ranked 53 in the ITTF World Ranking as of January 1, 2007.  She is ranked 25 as of June 1, 2007.  From USATT Strategic/High Performance Plan: “If a player skips one or more level he/she will receive a bonus for as many levels as he/she skipped.” AND “If a player reaches a level, receives a bonus and then drops back, that player will not receive the bonus after he/she reaches that same level in which the bonus was already paid for”.
