Review by rA +N Plane (PS 08/46) by Atom Heart and Victor Sol

This cd is one of several by Victor Sol and Atom Heart under their +N guise which has varied quite a bit in its outputs.

The first three tracks are very similar, muffled beats but with a rhythm that glitters on top - quiet and subdued but it builds and evolves maintaining your interest. There is something very comforting about these sounds and combined with the warped map images on the cover Plane takes you on a journey as you imagine flying over imagined or real landscapes. The other tracks are less atmospheric and some manage to break into a fast beat which work very well.

This is a cd that is worth hunting down and uses a very different set of sounds than you might usually associated with FAX.
