Coming Down
- start rotating the left arm from the top (it takes less than 1/2 second until impact)
- let right arm start to straighten at 3 o'clock and keep shoulders more level (don't let the right one dip)
Impact
- pronate the right wrist and hold the angle until after impact
- keep shoulders moving and cover the ball with the upper body
Post Impact
- left hip pulls right knee down the target line
- upper body and arms match up until 3 o'clock, then the arms increase in speed until finsh (think Lorena Ochoa)
Drills
- start at 9 o'clock and tap the ball using only upper body turn and left arm rotation while keeping the right wrist pronated
