Q: The Expedite system takes place when the score reaches 10 to 10 right?I'm also confused about the rule that states: If the expedite system is introduced, or if a game lasts longer than 10 minutes, all subsequent games of the match shall be played under the expedite system.
- submitted by Tim Aikey.
A: The answer to your first part of your question is no. The expedite system is introduced when a game lasts 10 minutes, or at any time when both players or teams request it, unless both players (teams) scored 9 points, in which case the expedite is introduced in the subsequent game and lasts until the end of the match.
If both players score 9 points and the game had lasted 10 minutes, the play is not interrupted. This game is played as any other game without the expedite system. When the game is finally over, and it may have lasted any length of time necessary to complete it, the umpire informs players that the preceding game lasted more than ten minutes and that the rest of the match will be played under the expedite syste
