Q: Is a two handed backhand within the rules of table tennis? The rules mention 'free' hand, however do not appear to rule out a two handed backhand (or other stroke for that matter).

A: The two handed backhand is within the rules of table tennis. There is no free hand when you hold the racket with both hands.
