Q:For a ball that does not bounce, but skids or slides across the table, is this still a playable ball?- submitted bu Louie Botch on 26 Feb 97
A: If, by "playable', you mean "returnable", than the my educated guess tells me, the answer, most probably, shoud be "it is not". The player who manages to make a return that way, and good players can do that, scores a point.
