Las Vegas, USA will host the 2027 ITTF World Masters Championships.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (May 7, 2026) — The ITTF World Masters Championships are returning to the United States in 2027, with Las Vegas ready to welcome thousands of table tennis players from around the world. The location was confirmed earlier in the week by the ITTF Council during their annual ITTF Summit.

“I think there’s a little bit of a different atmosphere at the World Masters,” said U.S. Table Tennis Hall of Famer Dell Sweeris. “Some people are there because they love to play table tennis, but they have no intention on winning the medals. What keeps many of us coming back is the camaraderie.”

There’s a heightened sense of anticipation for the championship’s return to the desert city. Known as one of the global leaders in sports and entertainment, Las Vegas makes a fitting stage for one of the largest veteran sporting events in the world.

The 2027 ITTF World Masters Championships will feature team competition for athletes aged 40 and over across multiple age divisions. The event celebrates the athletes who have helped grow the sport while continuing to inspire future generations of players.

More than 150 competition tables are predicted to be ready for tournament play. Early plans identify Mandalay Bay Convention Center as the preferred venue. The facility is directly connected to guest accommodations, with nearby hotels also within walking distance. The final venue and event dates will be announced at a later date.

The event was last hosted in the United States at the Las Vegas Convention Center in June of 2018, when it was formerly known as the World Veteran Table Tennis Championships. The 2018 event attracted nearly 5,000 players from 97 countries.

The return to Las Vegas will once again unify the global table tennis community, showcasing the continued growth of the sport in the United States.
