WTT Grand Smash is returning Stateside, with the second-ever United States Smash bringing world-class table tennis back to American shores next month.

Following its highly anticipated launch in Las Vegas last year, United States Smash 2026 boasts a whole new look, with this year’s action moving to the city of Ontario in the Greater Los Angeles region, bolstering WTT’s mission to establish the sport as a mainstay in the area in the lead-up to the LA28 Olympic Games.

From 26 June – 5 July, the biggest names in table tennis will light up Ontario Convention Center, with lucrative prize money and significant ITTF World Ranking points up for grabs, and you can be there to witness every twist and turn across the 11-day spectacle.

This year, leading the Men’s Singles field are World No.1 Wang Chuqin, Truls Moregard, Tomokazu Harimoto, Felix Lebrun, Lin Shidong, Hugo Calderano, and Lin Yun-Ju — a heavyweight lineup featuring World champions, Olympic medallists, Grand Smash winners, and some of the sport’s fiercest rivalries.

The Women’s Singles field is equally loaded, headlined by World No.1 Sun Yingsha, Wang Manyu, Miwa Harimoto, Chen Xingtong, Zhu Yuling, Sabine Winter, and Hina Hayata. From established icons to the new generation of challengers, the race for the Women’s Singles title promises to be relentless.

Fans across the Americas will also have plenty of continental stars to rally behind, with Lily Zhang, Kanak Jha, Adriana Diaz, Bruna Takahashi, and Amy Wang all set to bring firepower into the Grand Smash spotlight.

Looking to defend her Women’s Singles title, Zhu Yuling returns after completing one of the sport’s great comeback stories in 2025.

“US Smash was one of the most memorable experiences of my career,” Zhu said. “The energy inside the arena, the fans, the atmosphere around the event — everything felt big. Playing a Grand Smash in the United States brings a different feeling, and I’m excited to experience that again in Southern California.”

Wang Chuqin, who delivered a commanding performance to lift the Men’s Singles trophy in 2025, believes the event’s move into the Los Angeles region reflects the sport’s growing momentum in the market.

“The Grand Smash is the highest-level event for WTT, and its competitive intensity is self-evident,” Wang said. “Playing US Smash in Southern California, with the Olympic Games coming to Los Angeles soon, makes this event even more exciting. For me, this event is not only a stage to compete for honours, but also an opportunity to test my own capabilities.”

Wang Yidi and Kuai Man hold the Women's Doubles title, while An Jaehyun and Lim Jonghoon are the reigning Men’s Doubles champions. Lin Shidong and Kuai Man are the defending Mixed Doubles title holders following their dominant 2025 run. The Doubles lineup will be announced soon.
