The U.S. has entered the mix at China Smash 2026 as three days of singles qualification get underway in Beijing at the latest Grand Smash stop on the World Table Tennis (WTT) Series.

Kanak Jha, Sally Moyland, Jessica Reyes-Lai, Amy Wang and Lily Zhang are representing the U.S. across the singles events, with a Grand Smash title and 2,000 world ranking points up for the taking.

Sally Moyland led the U.S. into action on the second day of women’s singles qualification. The 19-year-old American swept Luxembourg’s Xia Lian Ni, a six-time Olympian and longtime international standout.

The victory moves Moyland two wins away from the women’s singles main draw.

She’ll play Zauresh Akasheva of Kazakhstan next, and American fans can catch the match live tonight at 12:10 a.m. ET / 9 p.m. PT.

In the second women’s singles qualifier, Jessica Reyes-Lai fell to former French National Champion Audrey Zarif, 3-1.

The U.S. men’s side did not have any participants in the qualification rounds.

Kanak Jha, Amy Wang and Lily Zhang will begin their singles campaigns in the China Smash 2026 main draw on Oct. 4.

Moyland will pair with Zhang in women’s doubles, while Moyland and Jishan Liang will team up in mixed doubles. The Naresh brothers, Nandan and Sid, will compete in men’s doubles for the American side going into Day 4.

With the main draw beginning Sunday, Oct. 4, in Beijing, U.S. fans can catch the action Saturday night, Oct. 3, due to the time difference.
