The 2026 U.S. Open Table Tennis Championships are just a few months away. Whether you're competing, coaching, supporting a player or coming to watch, a little preparation can make your U.S. Open experience much easier.

Here are five things to know before you head to Las Vegas.

1. There’s an event for just about everyone

With 118 events on the schedule, the U.S. Open offers much more than traditional singles and doubles.

The 2026 lineup includes open and age-group singles, junior events, rating events, para competition, hardbat, sandpaper, Parkinson’s and Family Generational Doubles.

Whether you're competing for a national title, looking for a rating event or bringing the whole family, take some time to look through the full event schedule before you arrive.

2. Know when you're playing — and when you're not

The U.S. Open runs Dec. 16–21 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, with the playing hall open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Events are spread throughout the six-day tournament, so don't assume your competition is concentrated on one day. Check your event times ahead of time and build your travel, meals and rest around your schedule.

There is also pre-tournament open practice and registration on Tuesday, Dec. 15, from 3–8 p.m.

3. Make time for the biggest matches

One of the highlights of the tournament comes Sunday, Dec. 20, when the Men’s and Women’s Singles Finals take place during the afternoon and evening.

Admission to the finals is included for those with the appropriate player or other credential, as well as spectators with a Dec. 20 Day Pass. Seating is first come, first served.

Even if you're competing earlier in the week, consider setting aside time to watch the finals and see some of the best table tennis in the country.

4. Plan your stay before you arrive

The U.S. Open is being held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, right on the Las Vegas Strip.

If you're traveling to the event, booking your accommodations early can make the week easier, and especially if you're traveling with a team or family.

5. Don't forget the details

A few important details are easy to overlook before tournament week.

Players must be current Gold or Lifetime USATT Members, with membership valid through Dec. 21, 2026. Players will receive a Player Credential for entry into the playing hall. Spectators and other non-credentialed attendees will need a Day Pass or Full Tournament Pass.

If you haven't entered yet, registration remains open through Dec. 1, 2026, subject to event capacity. Some events may fill before the deadline.
