Colorado Springs Colo. – A total of 22 American athletes will represent the United States at the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) World Para Circuit events, taking place at The Podium Powered by STCU in Spokane, Washington, from August 6–13, 2025. This marks the first time that two major international para table tennis events will be held on U.S. soil.
Headlining the competition is the ITTF World Para Elite event from August 9–13, which will feature top American para table tennis athletes competing against world-class talent from around the world for valuable world ranking points in singles and doubles. U.S. Paralympic medalists Jenson Van Emburgh, Tahl Leibovitz, and Ian Seidenfeld are expected to lead the American contingent.
Van Emburgh enters the tournament as the current World No. 1 in Men’s Wheelchair Class 3 Singles. In the Standing Men’s Singles categories, both Leibovitz (Class 9) and Seidenfeld (Class 6) are ranked World No. 10 in their respective classifications and are expected to be strong contenders.
From August 6–8, many of the top athletes will also participate in the ITTF World Para Future event, which also awards world ranking points. Designed as a developmental competition, it also gives American players a rare opportunity to gain international experience without leaving the country.
Rising talents Sam Altshuler (Class 6) and Logan Watson (Class 9), both ranked World No. 33 in their individual classes, will be among the many U.S. players to watch. In 2025, both earned singles and doubles medals in Argentina, Brazil and Chile. Altshuler further added to his medal count on the year in Spain and Finland.
With the 2025 ITTF Para World Circuit hosting more than 20 events globally, the Spokane tournaments, and especially the Para Elite event, represent a vital opportunity for American athletes to earn ranking points toward qualification for the 2026 ITTF World Para Table Tennis Championships.
