USATT Restates Coverage Parameters of Comprehensive Liability Insurance Policy

USATT Once Again Sets Out the Organization’s Position on Available Coverage Set Out on January 15, 2021

 

 

(Colorado Springs, CO – July 25, 2022) – USA Table Tennis (“USATT”) today restated the parameters of coverage available under USATT’s Comprehensive Liability Insurance Policy, which was first set out on January 15, 2021.

 

USATT’s Comprehensive Liability Insurance Policy is intended to cover ordinary and traditional table tennis activities at a USATT Member Club’s designated club facility as follows:

 

1. Ordinary and traditional table tennis activities related to USATT Sanctioned Tournaments;

 

2. Ordinary and traditional table tennis activities related to USATT Approved League Play;

 

3. Ordinary and traditional table tennis activities related to USATT Approved Training Camps;

 

4. Ordinary and traditional table tennis coaching activities undertaken by USATT Certified Coaches; and

 

5. Ordinary and traditional table tennis activities at a USATT Member Club’s designated club facility during that club’s regular hours of operation.

 

Under USATT policy, a Member Club’s comprehensive general liability insurance coverage is applicable for one designated club facility, only. In other words, Member Clubs that have more than one physical club location must have a separate USATT Club Membership for each location. A Member Club may obtain comprehensive liability insurance coverage for a one-time USATT Sanctioned Tournament or Approved Event held in a facility other than the Member Club’s regular designated club facility by applying with Headquarters for such coverage and paying an additional fee of $50.00.

 

Furthermore, under USATT policy, table tennis coaching activities of any type at a USATT Member Club by persons who are not USATT Certified Coaches are NOT covered under the Member Club’s comprehensive liability policy. Additionally, ordinary and traditional coaching activities by USATT Certified Coaches are only covered at a USATT Member Club’s designated club facility or, if applicable, a one-time USATT Sanctioned Tournament or Approved Event where coverage has been purchased and confirmed.
