USATT Seeks Volunteers for the 2022 US Open Table Tennis Championships

Persons Interested in Serving as a Volunteer for the Open in Ontario are Encouraged to Submit an Application No Later than November 1, 2022
(Colorado Springs, CO – October 4, 2022) – USA Table Tennis (“USATT”) is encouraging persons who are interested in serving as a volunteer for the 2022 US Open Table Tennis Championships at the Ontario Convention Center in Ontario, California, to submit an Application Form no later than November 1, 2022.
There are positions available for persons who reside in the Los Angeles and Southern California area (Local Volunteers), as well as a limited number of positions available for Out-of-Town Volunteers. Volunteer shifts begin on Monday, December 12, and continue through Thursday, December 22. There are a variety of potential tasks listed on the Volunteer Application Forms (see below) for persons seeking to serve in a volunteer capacity. Please note that persons serving in a volunteer capacity at the 2022 Open must comply with USATT Safe Sport Policy, which includes being up to date on SafeSport Training.
Local Volunteers will receive a $30.00 per shift per diem and free parking. Local Volunteers who work a minimum of five shifts will also receive a USATT Shirt and are permitted to play in up to two Events at the Open free of charge, provided that those Events do not conflict with the volunteer’s agreed shift schedule. Persons residing in the Los Angeles and Southern California area who are interested in serving as a volunteer at the 2022 US Open can click here to obtain a Local Volunteer Application Form.
Persons selected as Out-of-Town Volunteers will receive: (i) $30.00 per shift per diem; (ii) a paid shared-double hotel room; and (iii) up to $250 reimbursement for flight travel. Out-of-Town Volunteers who work their scheduled shifts will also receive a USATT Shirt and can participate in one Event at the Open free of charge, provided that the Event does not conflict with the volunteer’s shift schedule. To qualify as an Out-of-Town Volunteer, a person must: (i) live outside of the Los Angeles and Southern California area; and (ii) commit to working a minimum of one shift per day (Morning: 7:30 am – 2:30 pm or Evening: 2:00 pm – 9:00 pm) for a minimum of five consecutive days. Please note that hotel costs are paid only for those days in which the Out-of-Town Volunteer actually works a full shift. USATT is requesting that Volunteer Applications be submitted on the appropriate Volunteer Application Form by email to Admin@USATT.org no later than November 1, 2022.
