Junior Teams Championships are Kicking Off in West Virginia

The Junior Teams finals are kicking off soon at the 2023 ITTF Pan Am Youth Championships, and we’ll get to see the very best U19 Boys' and Girls' teams in the Pan Am Region.
Puerto Rico featuring BURGOS Brianna, MEDINA Alahia, MELENDEZ Kristal, and RODRIGUEZ Alondra for their Junior Girls’ Teams Finalists after making it past team Canada in three games to one during the semifinals.
USA will be Puerto Rico’s opposition in the Girls’ Team Final, and stepping to the court for the United States will be GUPTA Muskan, KE Tiffany MOYLAND Sally, and TAN Emily. USA moved passed Brazil, the country they bested in lasted years Pan Am Youth finals in 2022.

Brazil and the United will meet again today in the finals but this time for the U19 Junior Boy’s Teams event at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center.
The Brazilian team will feature DOTI ARADO Felipe, IIZUKA KENZO Leonardo, IWASAKI Kim, and YAMANE Nicholas. Brazil breezed past Peru in the semifinal round 3-0 to earn their shot to become this year’s ITTF Pan American Youth Champions.
Making it to U19 finals for the USA Boys’ squad is final NARESH Nandan, NARESH Sid, TRAN Daniel, and TSAO Darryl. USA is just coming off their swift 3-0 victory against Puerto Rico in the semifinals and is eager to get a shot at the gold medal in the upcoming match.
The pressure is on in Charleston, West Virginia, with gold medals on the line. Even more so, considering winners of the Junior Teams events directly qualify to compete 2023 World Youth Championships on Nov. 26 – Dec. 3, 2023, in Nova Gorica, Slovenia.
The 2023 ITTF Pan American Youth Championships Boys’ & Girls’ Junior Finals matches will be held today, Girls Teams – 4:00 p.m. ET and Boys' Teams – 6:00 p.m. ET inside the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center, and you can also watch live from ITTF Americas.
