by USA Table Tennis
Parents of Minor Athletes Are Reminded of Available Resources Provided by the US Center for SafeSport for Themselves and Their Children
(Colorado Springs, CO – November 28, 2023) – USA Table Tennis (“USATT”) takes this opportunity to remind and encourage parents of minor athletes to utilize the resources available from the US Center for SafeSport [“USCSS”} to bolster the table tennis community’s efforts to improve athlete safety. The USCSS also offers athlete safety resources, subject to parental permission, for young athletes themselves.
Details on the available resources can be found on the Center’s website: https://uscenterforsafesport.org/training-and-education/safesport-courses-for-all/. Adults who have already created an account with the USCSS can log into their account at U.S. Center for SafeSport (safesporttrained.org) to gain access to these resources. Adults who have not yet created an account with the Center can do so at this same location.
USATT also offers a Parental Toolkit designed and created by the USCSS to address issues of athlete safety which can be accessed on the USCSS website: https://uscenterforsafesport.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Parent-Toolkit_Complete-1.pdf or the Athlete Safety and Resources tab found on the menu of the USATT website: https://www.usatt.org/athlete-resources/safesport.
USATT is committed to building a sport community where participants can play, work and learn together in an atmosphere free of emotional, physical, and sexual misconduct.
