2025 Coach of the Year Nominations are Open

2025 Coach of the Year Nominations.

USA Table Tennis is now accepting nominations for its 2025 Coach of the Year Awards, recognizing outstanding coaches across all levels of the sport for the past calendar year. Nominations are open for the following award categories, with eligible nominees required to be currently coaching or within their first year of retirement. Submissions will be accepted through the official online form through January 15th, 2026. 


• National Coach of the Year honors coaches working at the elite level, including Elite Level Clubs, collegiate programs, Pan-American, World Championship, Olympic teams, or those coaching elite athletes competing at the highest level of the sport.


• Mark Nordby Developmental Coach of the Year recognizes youth, school, and junior-level coaches who develop athletes and demonstrate excellence in performance, character, service to the sport and community, and athlete recognition.


• Volunteer Coach of the Year celebrates unpaid coaches whose service, character, and commitment have made a meaningful impact on athletes, their community, and the sport.


• National Paralympic Coach of the Year honors coaches at the elite para level, including Elite Level Clubs, collegiate programs, Para Pan-Am, World Championship, Paralympic teams, or elite para athletes.


• The “Doc” Counsilman Award recognizes a coach who integrates sport science and innovation—such as biomechanics, psychology, nutrition, technology, or strength and conditioning—into their coaching to enhance performance and advance the sport.
