BURLINGAME, Calif. — The United States won two of the five titles on offer at the 2026 ITTF North American Championships held at 888 Table Tennis Center. Both of those titles belonged to the U.S. Women, excelling in their events as they battled athletes from America and Canada for important world ranking points and championship titles.

Sally Moyland claimed the women’s singles title on home soil with a 4–1 (11-4, 5-11, 14-12, 11-6, 11-6) victory over fellow USA teammate Jessica Reyes-Lai. Moyland overcame Olivia Huang of Canada before advancing past Irene Yeoh in the semifinals. The final was decided in five games, with Moyland maintaining control through serve-and-receive exchanges and limiting unforced errors against Reyes-Lai.

In the women’s doubles championships, Amy Wang and Jessica Reyas-Lai won against fellow Americans Irene Yeoh and Ke Wang in three straight games for a second North American Championships title.

Canada hit its stride in the men's competitions. Edward Ly won the singles championship, having entered the competition as one of North America's most reliable performers. He advanced to the title match after a seven-game semifinal triumph over top seed American Jishan Liang.

Continuing his excellent run, Edward defeated Nandan Naresh 4-2 in the final, giving him a three-match lead over Naresh in head-to-head international singles play.

Laurent Jutras-Vigneault and Edward Ly won the men's doubles championships for Canada’s second title. They sealed the win 3-1 against Nikhil Kumar and Nandan Naresh of the United States.

Ly impressed again adding a third North American title in mixed doubles with Mo Zhang. The Canadian pair went undefeated in the draw before their tight 3–2 comeback finals victory over America’s Sally Moyland and Jishan Liang.
