Alguetti Brothers Display Another Commanding Performance in Second 2022 Ohio Appearance

Chance Friend versus Gal Alguetti at the Butterfly Spin & Smash February 2022 Open at Spin & Smash Table Tennis & Ping Pong Center in Columbus, Ohio.
Winter storm Landon ended in central Ohio just in time for 78 players – including Gal and Sharon Alguetti – to converge at Spin & Smash Table Tennis & Ping Pong Center for the Butterfly Spin & Smash February 2022 Open.
Congratulations to the winners and runners-up in 16 different events, and all the players who participated.
Gal Alguetti defeated Sharon Alguetti in an exciting Open Final (11-3, 12-10, 9-11, 6-11, 11-8, 7-11, 11-6), both players progressing to the finals from a strong field of 16 players.
Sharon had this to say about the final with Gal, “Ridiculous points in the finals of the Spin and Smash February Open! My left hand wasn't strong enough for Gal, this time.”
Sharon and Billy Pavka also won the Draw Doubles event against the team of Jack Lee and Kerry Burke, (8-11, 11-8, 11-6, 8-11, 11-9). “Coming back from 8:2 down in the fifth [game] in the high low doubles event was loco,” said Sharon.
Sharon capped off the tournament with a win in the Classic Hardbat event, defeating Dr. Walter Alomar in the final.
