The USA had plenty to celebrate this week as it’s Junior National Teams delivered a medal haul of 22 podium finishes at the 2025 U15 & U19 ITTF Junior Pan American Championships in Rosario, Argentina.

What unfolded in Rosario was more than just a week of winning. The U15 and U19 squads showed talent and depth, with athletes consistently pushing each other to higher levels. It was a chance to see how much potential lies ahead.

The U15 Boys’ and Girls’ National Teams were unstoppable, racking up seven golds and five silvers between them.

Jayden Cai, Kyler Chen, Maxim Mouchinski, and Kef Noorani swept Peru in the semifinals before beating Brazil 3–1 in the final to secure team gold. Noorani then claimed the singles crown over Chen, before teaming up with him again to take boys’ doubles gold against Cai and Mouchinski in an all-American final.

The girls matched the energy with their own commanding run. Satya Aspathi, Tiana Piyadasa, Irene Yeoh, and Abigail Yu rolled past Brazil 3–0 in the semifinals and repeated the sweep against Canada in the championship match. Yu later struck gold in singles over Yeoh, while Piyadasa and Aspathi captured the doubles title. In mixed doubles, Chen and Yu combined to edge Noorani and Yeoh for yet another American gold.

“What stood out most was their composure,” said Coach Gao Jun, who oversaw the U15 squads. “They weren’t just playing for themselves. They played for each other, and that’s what made the difference. The teamwork we saw here is exactly the foundation we want to build on.”

With their outstanding results, the U.S. has now qualified for all U15 events at ITTF World Youth Championships 2025 in Cluj Napoca, Romania in November.

In the U19 field, Sally Moyland emerged as the face of U.S. dominance. Moyland stormed through the singles bracket, not dropping a single game en route to her gold medal win over Puerto Rico’s Kristal Menendez. Her remarkable run included 16 straight game victories against opponents from Peru, Brazil, Antigua and Barbuda, and Puerto Rico.

Teammate Isabella Luo joined Moyland on the singles podium with a bronze, capping off her campaign with an emphatic 4–0 win in the quarterfinals before narrowly falling in the semifinals.

Moyland wasn’t done yet — she and Hildy Chen picked up silver in U19 girls’ doubles, while Moyland and Nandan Naresh added another silver in mixed doubles. The U19 girls’ team of Chen, Luo, Moyland, and Tashiya Piyadasa battled their way to bronze.

On the boys’ side, Naresh and Daniel Tran brought home silver in doubles, while Daryl Tsao and Victor Xie fought through to earn bronze. The U19 boys’ team event also ended on the podium with another bronze.

The results from this year's Youth Pan American Champions have qualified the U.S. U19 National Teams for all singles and doubles events at WYC 2025.
