Sports Broadcast Technology Group Will Utilize Real Time Data Analysis and AI-Based Production System to Support USATT’s Live Stream Broadcast Content at 2023 US Open in Ontario, California

(Colorado Springs, CO – October 4, 2023) – USA Table Tennis (“USATT”), the National Governing Body for the sport of table tennis, today announced that the organization is joining forces with Pixelscope Company, LTD, (“Pixelscope”), a sports broadcast technology group committed to developing an innovative software system that combines real time data analysis and AI-models to generate cutting-edge and cost-effective broadcast content. Pixelscope and USATT are expected to utilize these innovative products to support the live stream broadcast from the 2023 US Open Table Tennis Championships in Ontario, California (December 16 – 21, 2023).

“We’re excited to join forces with Pixelscope and explore the promise of their cutting-edge technology to produce new and exciting broadcast content,” said Virginia Sung, the Chief Executive Officer. “A primary part of USATT’s mission is to do all within our power to grow the sport of table tennis, and we believe a significant part of that effort should be directed towards developing new and exciting ways to present our sport to spectators. It appears that Pixelscope has pioneered and developed some extremely innovative technological pieces in the production and presentation of live sports content, and we’re excited to see how it can be utilized in American table tennis.”

Pixelscope’s technology utilizes the company’s proprietary Pixelcast system, which is AI generating live sports broadcast contents using real-time 3D data based on sophisticated computer vision technology. The system is designed to combine real-time collected 3D data using high-speed cameras, AI deep learning models, and video processing technologies to accurately broadcast unpredictable sports situations by automatically remote controlling multiple professional broadcast cameras. The system also utilizes detailed graphic displays to transmit real-time data to spectators’ mobile devices. In addition to the real-time data analysis and unique AI-generated broadcast content, the Pixelcast system also reduces the amount of personnel and other resources required to produce a robust professional sportscast.

“We’re grateful to be able to stream the 2023 US Open Table Tennis Championships in Ontario, California with USATT,” said Kei Kwon, Pixelscope’s Chief Executive Officer. “We are fortunate to start our first global business with USATT, and we hope to provide an exceptional AI-automated live table tennis match broadcast experience with our Pixelcast system during the event to fans and viewers.”

Based in South Korea since its launch in 2018, Pixelscope has been involved in the development of innovative sports broadcasting technology for golf, volleyball, billiards and table tennis. The group has partnered in the broadcast of a number of table tennis events including most recently the 2022 DUNAMU Pro Table Tennis League, as well as the 2021 National Table Tennis Championships in South Korea. Pixelscope has also developed and AI-based fitness program known as EXERGAME 4D, which provides objective personal training results by collecting and analyzing data through motion sensors, essentially creating a “gaming experience” that adds fun and competitive psychology to fitness.
