The preliminary rounds featured a round-robin group stage, with the top players from each group advancing to the next phase. Players who place first in their groups earn the advantage of a first-round bye in the elimination stage.
Placement in the elimination stages will determine the point allocation received by each player towards their National Team Ranking.
In October 2024, updates were made to the selection procedures for both Adult and Junior teams. These changes aim to enhance the competitiveness of U.S. teams on the global stage, extending beyond the Pan American Region. The updated system emphasizes rewarding outstanding performances and sustained dedication throughout the calendar year.
Athletes earn selection to the U.S. National Team based on their National Team Rankings, which consider the following:
- World Ranking (within top 300)
- Adult National Team Trials #1 Placement
- Adult National Team Trials #2 Placement
- U.S. Nationals Performance in Men’s/Women’s Singles
- U.S. Open Performance in Men’s/Women’s Singles
Once ranked in the top eight during any published update, players retain their National Team status for at least six months.
